This past Saturday, Project Makeover held its annual Mini Makeover for Prairie View Campus housing Idylwild Elementary School! From staff to captains to coordinators to the executive board, the entire team came together to make a difference for this school and its kids. Each team worked on their incredible projects to make Mini Makeover a success.
After eight hours of working hard on hallway murals, beautiful banners, a nature trail, and friendship bench, everyone was able to walk away from Prairie View knowing they contributed to creating a more dynamic learning environment for the students and faculty.
Mini Makeover 2021 was a great way to kick off the rest of the events for the school year and provide a sneak peak to all the fun still to come!
Mini Makeover got our members thinking back to why they have such a passion for this organization. “I joined Project Makeover to get more involved and meet new people and I’ve loved it so far!” said freshman staff member Ayshe Sozmen. “Mini Makeover was a great experience where I got to connect with other members in PM and feel like I’ve actually made a difference in the community.”
With our big fundraising event Sandbox coming up soon, and preparations for Makeover Weekend underway, we’re glad that Mini Makeover was a success and that we positively impacted Prairie View Campus and its students.
So much went into making Mini Makeover possible, so a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and fundraised!
